Lately there have been many efforts to educate our citizens not actively involved in our serious survival war with the animal rights movement.
These efforts involve an effective billboard campaign in southern California and a very fine blog called Humane Watch.
This blog salutes Humane Watch, sponsored by the Center for Commercial Freedom, for it's efforts to involve all segments of our animal enterprise society. It is doing a great job in exposing the underlying motives for bad laws that would eventually remove all animals from human contact. The sponsors of these laws, also exposed, would become unofficial despotic dictators, given passage of these laws. Then perhaps they would become official despotic rulers of us all.
I believe that , as stated in the article"What I Learned at the Dog Show" that one way to counter this move to dietarily enslave Americans is to expose as many "civilians" as possible to actual dog shows.
Those readers of this who do not show dogs should go to a dog show. Most have free admission, some charge for parking. They can be found by going to the AKC web site www.akc.org and looking for events. In particular, you would like to see "conformation" shows, and all-breed ones.
Meanwhile, just to see what you may find at the show, take a look at one man's experience: http://humanewatch.org/index.php/site/post/what_i_learned_at_the_dog_show/
His experience was wholly typical.
Our own club, Bahia Sur Kennel Club will be conducting their two championship events in Chula Vista, California on June 19 and 20. We will be having Free dog show tours to aid our first time spectators in enjoying the activities. Showing starts at 8AM, Be there early to be sure you see your breeds of interest. |
