Dogs Laws for the county of San Diego and cities

NOTE:  No two cities are the same when it comes to dog laws, dog ownership and the number of dogs you can have.  Below you will find a brief overview for each city of the number of dogs you can own and hyperlinks under more info to applicable municipal codes.


Carlsbad

Encinitas
Encinitas has adopted County of San Diego animal control regulations.  Residents of the City of Encinitas are allowed up to six (6) adult dogs per household. Encinitas shelters lost and impounded animals at the County of San Diego shelter and Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
